A vibration cell was the part of a vibroweapon that caused it to vibrate. It was an essential part of any vibroweapon, because the damage they dealt was significantly less if there was no vibrocell. Essentially a modified energy cell, the vibration cell was used to augment many types of vibroweapons by increasing the depth to which the blade could penetrate, however this enhancement made the weapon somewhat unwieldy. The Mark II, III, & IV versions in turn allowed for a considerable increase in the potential for debilitating damage.

Better vibration cells could be fitted into the weapon to make it vibrate faster and deal more damage. The top of the range cells, called a level three vibration cell, could make the blade vibrate so hard that it could slice limbs just by touching them, without the wielder having to chop or slice through the limb.
