  • Creatures of magic with strong ties to nature, Eladrin live in cities in the twilight realm of the Feywild. They take friendships and alliances to heart and can react with swift fury when their friends are endangered. Combined with their intellect, bravery, and magical power, this loyalty makes them powerful and respected allies.

  • The first Eladrin came to Rhonnos from the Feywild sometime during the Shadow Years. They and their cousins, the Elves, moved into the northern lands at about the same time, but given the difference in lifestyles, never came into conflict. Lord Obberil was the original leader of the Eladrin and he moved them west towards the coast. The Eladrin settled into the forests nicely, as they were far enough away from the Giants to the south and had no direct competition at the time. They called their lands Llwywen, after the kingdom they left in the Feywild. Being near the coast, they quickly turned to shipbuilding, and their prowess has yet to be matched. Eladrin ships are the fastest in the seas, and over the years the Eladrin used that to their advantage. During the Night of Fire and the years that followed, some Eladrin were warped by the energies of the Far Realm and slowly became the Drow. Considered cursed, the Eladrin drove them out, and eventually into the Underdark, where they thrived. The Drow would be a threat, but never one as great as the Tieflings. As Nerath expanded, the Eladrin fought against them, knowing the dangers of diabolic pacts. But the Eladrin, while long lived, did not have the numbers the Nerathi had, and were pushed back until Tel Avandi (Sanctuary Island) was all they had left. Their naval power kept them safe for the most part, but they were forced to remain mostly isolated until the fall of Nerath. Overall, Eladrin are somewhat haughty and distant to all other races, but have respect for Dragonborn. Elves, they consider naive, Dwarves are greedy and stubborn, and Humans are just reckless. Tieflings they usually hold a special hatred for. Education and magical learning are important parts of Eladrin society, and those who stray away from that tend to be regarded as miscreants and troublemakers.

There is a strong connection between the elves of Eladrin and the Collage of Mages in Crangnia, both being organizations that put a high focus on the arcane arts. However, the scholarly approach to magic that the human collage takes differs greatly from the years of practice and mental focus it takes for one taught by the elves. Often elves from Eladrin are sent to Crangnia to learn from the great wizards (Human, Elf, or other) of the Collage of Mages, but just as many humans can be found scampering through the countryside, trying to get a chance to be taught by one of the great Elvin masters.

Według eladrinów śmiertelnicy powinni mieć możliwość wybierania swych własnych bóstw, nie musząc się obawiać biesiej interwencji. Wielu z potężniejszych eladrinów częstokroć wędruje po sferach i światach pierwszomaterialnych, pracując przeciw baatezu i tanar'ri chcących zdominować te światy. Chociaż indywidualne typy eladrinów różnią się mocą i wyglądem, to jako rasa są wszyscy istotami faerie, pełnymi wdzięku, szybkimi i pięknymi. Eladrinowie występują w dwóch kategoriach: * Pomniejszej: bralani, coure, noviere, shiere * Potężniejszej: firre, ghaele, tulani Pomniejsi eladrinowie z rzadka opuszczają sferę Arborei. Większych eladrinów można jednak spotkać praktycznie wszędzie, gdzie da się poczynić jakieś dobro.

Eladrin children grow much as human children do, but their aging process slows to a crawl when they reach maturity. They enjoy youth and health for most of their lives and don't begin to feel the effects of age until the middle of their third century. Most live for over 300 years, and even then they suffer few of the infirmities of old age.
  • Eladrin live between the Shattered Lands and the Vanguard Wood. Some were taken by Veros to a newly created continent on the inside of the world. The remainder are scattered and tribal, variously worshiping Thans, Veros or Mara.
