- Dantalion (ダンタリオン Dantarion?) is a minor antagonist in Tales of Destiny 2. His involvement in the game's story is subtle, but he does serve as a brief obstacle for the protagonists at Dycroft. Dantalion is an elderly gentleman with a blond beard and hair and wears a gray suit accented with a gold that compliments the end of this ruby-adorned staff.
- Dantalion is a demon working for the Southern Horde who disguised himself as human master of the Magestar. He ended up in Alent after the Second Battle of Magestar and began collaborating with Vulture by tampering with the Beacon of Alent's power source. Dantalion finally revealed his demonic self although he was defeated soon after by the Grand Alliance. He didn't perish during that battle, however, and was instead caught by Lust who imprisoned him and kept him in his lionesque form, turning him into her personal plaything. When Dantalion was finally freed during the Alliance's battle against Lust, he was injured severely and fled into Threshold where he fell into the arms of Jahi Gallu who covered him in darkness.

- Dantalion(ダンタリオンDantarion) is a Crimson Lord who behaves like a stereotypical mad scientist and is often referred to as "Professor Dantalion"(ダンタリオン教授Dantarion Kyōju) or simply "Professor". He is not liked, and is even hated by most Denizens, even among the Bal Masqué, because he conducts research on their own people and is also responsible for an experiment which created some of their nemeses: Flame Haze. Among the Trinity, Bel Peol does not like or trust him and Sydonay hates him, but somehow Hecate seems close to him, even calling him "oji-sama" (the greeting toward uncles or respectable seniors) and protected him most of the time from getting into trouble with the higher-ups. His true name is "Seeking Researcher"(探耽求究Tantankyūkyū) and the color of his Flame is "foolishly faded green"(馬
