The band was formed in 1998 in Santa Barbara, California by singer and guitarist Tim Pagnotta, guitarist Marko DeSantis, bassist Airin Older and drummer Ben Davis. They released their first album, Eleven, in 1999 followed by Wrap Me Up in Plastic and Start Static in 2000 and 2001. The latter album contained the single "Bouncing Off The Walls". In 2003 Ben Davis left the band, and was replaced by Kenny Livingstone. The band released two more albums and performed several tours.
