Like the Smurfs, they have their own dance, the Trokel Trot. In "Prince Smurf", Hefty saved the trokel princess Gerta after she almost fell off a cliff, and because of this King Bandorf forced Hefty to marry Gerta in accordance with their customs. However, Gerta refused due to being in love with Klock while Hefty simply wanted to go home. The Smurfs eventually came to Trokel Village to save Hefty but were themselves captured until the wedding ended. After Gerta ran out on her own wedding, she fell off a cliff again, but was luckily saved this time by Klock, thus giving him the honor of marrying Gerta. The trokels then released the Smurfs and the two races enjoyed the wedding of Klock and Gerta on good terms. In "Long Live Brainy", King Bandorf fired his royal adviser, Boxen due to being too serious about his duties. Boxen was then forced to leave Trokel Village with his assistant Glink and seek out new work due to refusing to beg for his old job. Boxen then came across Brainy Smurf and devised a plan to use him to get back at King Bandorf.
