While the second sector of Astragon's Navy had most of the powerful fighter craft, a few were deemed necessary to defend and support capital ships. The TIE Devastator was one such ship. This ship had a total of ten weapon mounts. The outward four were heavy blaster cannons, while a pair of chin-mounted ion cannons made it more lethal. This combination of weapons allowed it to lead starfghter squadrons with surprising efficiency. The other four protrusions on the wings were actually advanced sensor antennas, not weapons. Most pilots could not tell the difference, however.

  • While the second sector of Astragon's Navy had most of the powerful fighter craft, a few were deemed necessary to defend and support capital ships. These ships possessed both shields and hyperdrive systems but no ordinance launchers. Optional weapon mounts were located on each wing; each wing has two mounts. The wings could adjust since they are on s-foil mounts to conserve power until needed. Usually these ships were found escorting carrier vessels like Venators and Mark IIs. These ships provided essential defense until they launched their massive quantities of starfighters. Devastators would then proceed to lead the launched ships. The other four protrusions on the wings were actually advanced sensor antennas, not weapons. Most pilots could not tell the difference, however.
