This technique is used by the lizard Sages Inuwashi and Ōwashi to fuse with somebody in a similar way the Sage Art: Amphibian Technique. It maximizes the sage chakra for the person they are fused to and allows them to access Sage Mode. This also allows the lizard sages to continually gather natural energy for those that they are fused to, since that person cannot gather natural energy while on the move, thus eliminating the weakness of running out of natural energy in battle. Unlike the toad variant of this jutsu, a lizard sage completely fuses with somebody, appearing as a lizard tattoo on their forehead.

Another way that this jutsu is used is by having a lizard sage fuse with somebody and transfer regular chakra to them. This prevents somebody who has not practiced with senjutsu from turning to stone and they can have their chakra replenished while in battle.
