  • The 1990's were a year when comedians such as Bobby Davro and Mike McClean rose to prominence, and also a decade of great children's television (according to housebound 24-year-olds although thay had arthur). All of the brooms were taken out of a utility room and a few monitors, children's pictures, a gas lift chair, desk and Betacam were set up in it. This was to become the Broom Cupboard, and it was where Andi Peters was forced to introduce the programmes such as 'Get Your Michelin Star Back' (this was later revived on Channel 4 as 'Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares') and 'Bodger & Gopher'. Andi's prison guard was a puppet duck called Edd who clearly called all the shots. 1997 saw CBBC move to 'Studio 9', a room in which obsessive Paul Young fans were stored during his performances. • CBBC is an enemy network created by BBC to get rid of the Teletubbies once and for all. It's basically a machine which displays shows starring Dick and Dom which include annoying potty jokes and lame humor. Many 8 year-old kids considered this lame and feasted their eyes on crap by Time Warner and Viacom, especially Mordecai, Rigby and SpongeBob SquarePants's shows. When the network is turned off, the machine repeatedly says FARTS! BOGIES! SNOT! VOMIT! FARTS! BOGIES! SNOT! VOMIT! The BBC started to get pissed off so they decided it was time to act for the charges of Basil Brush, yet this machine is still lurking in large sewer systems, killing innocent mutants and Albeido kind creatures.

(At least, children of primary-school age or older. Younger kids have C Beebies, which features much more on-screen presentation between shows, as well as guest presenters reading stories.) Between shows, CBBC has a presenter or two, who tells the audience what is coming up and reads out cards and stuff sent in by the audience. There are also competitions. Between its launch in 1985 and 1994, it was broadcast from BBC1's continuity suite, known as "the broom cupboard". (Almost anyone old enough to remember this era considers it the golden age.) Many presenters have been accompanied by cheeky puppets, notably Gordon the Gopher, Edd the Duck and Otis the Aardvark, and currently the dogs Dodge, Hacker and Yonko. CBBC shows: * Ace Lightning * The Basil Brush Show * Blue Peter * Byker Grove * Chucklevision * Danis House * Dennis the Menace * Dick and Dom in da Bungalow * Dick and Doms Funny Business * Grange Hill * Horrible Histories * Jackanory * The Legend of Dick and Dom * Leonardo * Maid Marian and Her Merry Men * M.I. The biggest star of CBBC has to be 'Otis the Aardvark' a ferocious sexual deviant who flirted with stand-up comedians from North East England and made sh*te jokes. Unfortunatley, he was later demoted to the BBC canteen as he wasn't to clash with American-imported cartoon 'Arthur'. In an interview with the Daily Express, he said "The little bastard looks nothing like me."
