The Vesper is tougher than the other 2 specialised T2 anti-naval units, the Cybran Barracuda Submarine Hunter and the UEF Cooper Torpedo Boat. While it lacks any remarkable features such as the Barracuda's stealth and has the lowest DPS among the 3, it has very good torpedo defenses, second only to the UEF Cooper in brute power, and arguably more useful, since the Vesper isn't a surface vessel, its Quasar Anti-Torpedoes lack a minimum range and have the highest maximum range, complemented by a decent rate of fire. Despite its high degree of specialisation it is still a rather versatile vessel, well capable of providing protection against enemy submarines or engage in offensive action by themselves as a group. Its appearance evokes the aesthetics of a cyclops whale.
