Goron Link takes out a Powder Keg and hefts it over his head. He can then carry it around and throw it or set it down on the ground. Just like in Majora's Mask, Goron Link can only carry one of these at a time, so only one Powder Keg can be on the stage at a time. They have a great explosion radius and deal lots of damage though.

  • A powder keg is a barrel of gunpowder. The powder keg was the primary method for storing and transporting large quantities of black powder up until the 1870s and the adoption of the modern cased bullet. However, the barrels had to be handled with care, since a spark or other source of heat could cause the contents to deflagrate.

  • Powder Kegs are gun powder containers. These explosives are used for mining purposes but they can also be used to blow up gates and barriers. The Dwarves commonly use this object in their work. In Prophecies, they are found in missions such as Borlis Pass or Ice Caves of Sorrow, and are necessary for completing certain mission or bonus objectives. Powder Kegs are "bundles": this means they have to be carried by hand. When dropped, they will explode after a short fuse time of about 3 seconds. Any enemies caught in the blast radius will be knocked down and set on fire for 3 seconds.
  • Meet Chap in front of the gas station booth. He'll curse at you for "burning half the neighborhood" and for getting "Locust and Kryll flying up our asses". Wait for the conversation to end, and the pump nearby will be lit. Go turn the pump to start filling Laverne for the next chapter.
  • The Powder Keg is a Key Item obtained by Maya and Meena in Chapter 4 of Dragon Quest IV. It is found in the Mamon Mine, given by two treasure diggers in the deepest depths of the mine. The party hears that only the Chancellor of Palais de Leon is the only one who knows where the Regent is and hearing that he is a very frightful person who, if scared, would run to where the Regent was for help. They also hear that the last time someone frightened him, the person was sent to jail. Even so, Link's maximum capacity for carrying Powder Kegs is one. Powder Kegs bear the emblem of a modified skull and crossbones, with the skull being that of a Goron. Medigoron, proprietor of the Goron Powder Keg Shop in Goron Village, sells Powder Kegs for 100 Rupees per keg. A Goron salesman found in the Bomb Shop in West Clock Town sells them for the price of 50 Rupees per keg.
