Kwan then appeared in several successive films such as The Psychic (2005), Contemplations (2006), One Million Miles (2007), and Two Weeks in China (2008). Her films have garnered over $1.5 billion worldwide and she was, at one point, one of the highest-paid actors in Sierra. In 2008, she quietly moved away from acting and began modeling for several companies and publications, which led to her becoming a sex symbol in Sierra. In 2011, she was named by Vanguard as "The Sexiest Woman Alive". In 2013, Kwan announced she had retired from modelling and wished to return to acting following a five year hiatus from starring in any roles. Her first post-hiatus role was as Evelyn Li in the film Time (2013) which received acclaim. Her most recent film is Shoot For the Moon (2017). Recently, she has become a vocal supporter of the Royalist Party. Her views have been considered 'nationalist' and "vaguely Alt-right". Her blog, Electric Current is her primary means of offering her opinion on current issues. She endorsed Daniel McComb in the most recent prime ministerial election and his successor in the KS Senate, Nemesis Heartwell. She is an important figure for Chinese-Sierrans and Asian Sierrans in general and much of her blog content relates to those groups. Her political activity has led to speculation that she may run for public office, an idea she has not ruled out.
