| - Blachorse was a female warhorse belonging to the Faith of Calthoss the Shadow & the Shine, and given to five grey priests to sacrifice along with a wooly rhino at the quarry in the Deadwood Grove of the Arm. Before the two could be sacrificed, one of the five grey priests revealed himself to be the fogman Topaz, and killed the grey priests to open a lychgate. A black star appeared over the quarry, attracting Calthoss, and forty of her men to investigate it, and make a last stand against any tallmen that could possibly have appeared out of the lychgate beneath it.

Blachorse had been fitted with a gasmask, while the rhino could not. The rhino had already succumb to radiation poisoning, which had coated his lungs. Blachorse was starving, and thirsty, but alive by the time Calthoss arrived four days later. She took her in, and fed her, allowing the horse to build up some strength by the time Landeles and Rott fell out of the lychgate five days later. Blachorse was used to transport the two back to Calthoss' Cave, and then became the personal steed of Rott, while Roar became Landeles' personal steed. Blachorse was stolen by pyrates at Delkeye, thinking her Emperor Gattos Eres' steed. She was then given as a gift to Ayeson Garlcutter. She was pregnant around the time of the Battle at Six-Hills, and gave birth to another horse named Battleborn. It is implied that Witewynnie is the sire. Blachorse kills Stone by kicking him in the head, and is shot in the eye, and flees after nearly dying. She finds her way to a nearby cave, where she dies
