He is brown when weak, and gold when at full power. He wears white gloves, brown shoes, and a black hat with a red stripe on it. He also carries a briefcase containing his [[Zenimon ()|Zenimon]] and [[KoZenimon ()|KoZenimon]] underlings. He has the habit of finishing his sentences with "gane". When Ganemon fell from the [[Digital World ()|Digital World]] he lost his power, and all he could do was collect small change. As his favorite food is human greed, and money is it's easiest physical form, he sent his underlings to collect money for him by breaking the registers at Shinonome East Shopping District so that the amount of change given back is wrong. During his Zenimon retreival, Tagiru Akashi, [[Gumdramon ()|Gumdramon]], Hideaki Mashimo, and [[Dobermon ()|Dobermon]] find him hiding behind a soda machine in DigiQuartz in their Hunt for the coin Digimon. He lies to them saying the Zenimon escaped from him when his briefcase opened after falling from the Digital World, and asks them to help him retrieve his underlings. Every time they locate a Zenimon or KoZenimon, the coin underlings give him the stolen money, which he eats and grows bigger. When Tagiru and Hideaki return to DigiQuartz after their break, they see Ganemon releasing the Zenimon and KoZenimon and he then reveals his plan. Now with his restored power, he decides to steal all the money in the world. Hideaki refuses to help him, and Ganemon accuses the boy of setting up his Hunt business out of greed. Hideaki denies the accusation, and Tagiru defends him. Ganemon then orders his underlings to bring him more money, and as he eats, he grows bigger until he becomes golden and giant. He then fights Dobermon and [[Arresterdramon ()|Arresterdramon]] with his underlings' help. The Zenimon's fast movements prevent the duo from getting closer to him, but he is defeated by [[XrosUpArresterdramon (Dobermon) ()|XrosUpArresterdramon (Dobermon)]], who drags the Zenimon away from Ganemon, splitting the swarm, and is captured by Hideaki, who decides to make him work to his bones as punishment, and makes him give back all the money he and his underlings stole. The Digimon Hunt is Booming! The Virtuoso Hunter of the Shopping District!
