Jurassic Park: Japan was a dinosaur park that was going to be situated on an island near Guam. The idea was only mentioned briefly in the first novel. John Hammond wanted to start the construction early in 1990 (the year following the events of the novel) and the park would have opened after four years time (1995). It is unknown which dinosaurs were planned to be exhibited at Jurassic Park: Japan. Ironically, there is a real-life Jurassic Park ride based on The Lost World at Universal Studios: Japan
