In the year 2017, the European Union collapsed, followed by the economic collapses of almost every other nation. Revolutions ensued, resulting in new nations and redrawn borders. In 2046, a new Nazi Party leader, Krieg Goring, rose to power as the Chancellor of Austria, turning it into Nazi Austria. That same year, Austria backed a revolution in Germany, which led to the overthrow of the peaceful government. The new government became Nazi Germany. At the same in Luxembourg, a pro-Nazi leader came to power named Grand Duke Henri Halsdorf, who turned the country into Nazi Luxembourg. The three countries formed a Nazi union. They all agreed, several months later after a build up of troops, to invade the Duchy of Denmark. The rest of Europe was caught up in other matters, and thus did not give the Nazis much attention. However, when they invaded Denmark on September 14th of 2046, the most of the countries condemned them, declaring war. By the end of the week, most of Europe had declared war on them, excluding several nations that asked to join the Nazi states. The Italian Empire had good relations with them, and shortly after the invasion of Denmark began, they attacked the Kingdom of Albania. The Kingdom of Romania, seeing them as rising powers, decided to join them as well. The Kingdom of Sweden was already allied with Germany, providing metal ore for them, and joined. The Republic of Hungary felt threatened, and joined out of fear. On September 19th, the Nazi Army invaded the Republic of Poland. Two days later, several nations declared war on the Nazis (British Empire, Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, Republic of France, and the Dutch Union. They finished the invasion of Denmark on September 19th, and Poland in November, and attacked the Czech Republic and Dutch Union. Despite fierce resistance, both countries fell quickly. Slovakia declared war and attack Nazi-occupied Poland, while Italian troops in Albania were attacked by Yugoslav and the Greek forces. The Italians were forced to invade Yugoslavia. Eventually, the Hungarians intervened, helping Italy conquer Yugoslavia and Albania. However, Greece remained free and continued striking at Italian forces. The Romanians declared war on the Bulgarian Kingdom, beginning to attack it. By December 2046, the rest of Europe declared war on the Nazis. They allied the only state in Africa, the Islamic Republic of Sudan.
