Originally, the house north of the goblin cook housed an eternal fire that players could use to cook on. On 1 July of 2008, the fire was made unusable when a spit was placed over it. The house was often referred to by players as the "Goblin House" because it was populated by many level-2 goblins. The goblin cook was released on 12 October 2010, when several changes (such as the addition of slings and Lumbridge guards) were made to Lumbridge. Amongst these changes was the movement of the fire and goblins to the area south of the house, as well as the addition of the cook.

- He is noteable for inventing a process of cooking, dubbed "fast food", which is completely burned food delivered quickly through an explosion, causing the cauldron to be launched in the air, arriving speedily to it's destination (and likely destroying it in the process). Due to such experiments, he is often covered in a residue of some kind.

Examine
| - He looks pretty busy.
- More like a goblin cooked.
- Before cutscene: He's got funky socks, but he's still an ugly green creature.
- During cutscene: Half way up the wall is maybe not a naturally tenable position for a goblin.

- The Goblin Cook, whose name is Mudknuckles, is a goblin chef who is found in the kitchen in the Goblin Village and is always experimenting and blowing things up in his kitchen; thus, he frequently has a blackened appearance. He has invented 'fast food', which is completely burned food delivered quickly through an explosion and the cauldron being launched in the air, arriving speedily at its destination (and likely destroying it). He plays a minor role in the quest Recipe for Disaster, as the player need him to make a Slop of compromise, which is a dish served to the goblin generals, Bentnoze and Wartface, to save them from the Culinaromancer's spell.
