Hyman Apfelbaum was the Attorney General of Jefferson during the governorship of Bill Williamson. During Williamson's meeting with Nobuo Fujita, he reflected that Apfelbaum had flown thirty-one missions over Europe in 1944 in a B-17 Flying Fortress. After the war, he toured Germany, getting by on his Yiddish.
