Larose played junior with the Ottawa 67's and the Guelph Platers. Although chosen 224th overall by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1985 NHL Entry Draft, he never came to terms with that club. Instead he was signed as a free agent by the Winnipeg Jets in 1987. His only success in the NHL came in 1991-92. Dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs in mid-season, he scored 9 goals and 5 assists in 34 games that year. Aside from that, he was a career minor leaguer with only brief stops in the NHL. He scored 10 goals and 9 assists in 70 games. He retired in 2002.
