- The Gashadokuro is a field boss in Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers. They can be formed by fusing three Kyokotsu skeletons together. Gashadokuro can be found in the Sea Grotto campaign, and the first Chocobo Circuit campaign.
- In Japanese folklore, Gashadokuro, (がしゃどくろ) also known as Odokuro, are giant skeletons, fifteen times taller than an average person. If a Gashadokuro sees a human, it will grab it and attempt to bite its head off. Gashadokuro are created from gathering bones from people who have died of starvation. The only way a Gashadokuro can be detected before it appears is by hearing a ringing in one's ears.
- Gashadokuro are giant animated skeletons formed by the amalgamation of many smaller skeletons. They arise spontaneously from bones of people dying in extreme hunger in areas with strong background magic. Gashadokuro are found, for example, in the Monastic Cavern of Obara in Random Kingdom VX and the De'Obara Tomb at the bottom of the cavern. They are also common in Gondwana. Because they have come about through magical background alteration, the Gashadokuro may be a form of yōkai.
- The Gashadokuro are spirits that take the form of giant skeletons and are fifteen times taller than an average person, said to be created from the amassed bones of people who died of starvation. These Yōkai roam after midnight, grabbing lone travelers and biting off their heads to drink their spraying blood. Sometimes the Gashadokuro are portraited as towering armored skeletons of warriors who died in battle.
