- File:Quake3.png Tier 2 - Skilled is the second tier of Quake 3 Arena. Opponents become considerably more dangerous and players will have to start developing more advanced combat strategies. The maps have a generally futuristic, yet decrepit style, spiced up with some alien elements. If they are victorious, players will eventually reach the Proving Grounds, where the elegant but deadly Hunter will test them to make sure they are ready for Combat.
- de:Stufe 2 Beastmen tend to be grouped into tiers of 10 levels each, with certain kinds of beastmen within those tiers. Tier 2 is for beastmen whose levels range from 11 to 20. Beastcoins can be stolen from the majority of these beastmen. Caution: The versions of these seen in Shadowreign areas are low tier 7.
- There are 9 Tier 2 pets: Blue Pixie, Lydian, Octopus, Orc, Red Pixie, Siren, Skeleton, Wolf, Yeti. Blue Pixie Image:Blue Pixie portrait.png With 3 healing spells, a healing buff spell, and a resurrection spell superior to that of even the Priest and Druid, the Blue Pixie makes an excellent compliment to a Healer class and can act as an emergency healer should the need arise. However, the Blue Pixie's offensive skills are mediocre and survivability is often an issue. Lydian Image:Lydian portrait.png
