| - One of the bosses in Sleepless Hollow, Sir Spookley Hauntmore is a very large ghost, who exists simultaneously in our world and The Dumb Side. Here's a simple guide to defeating him: - Never get close to him! His only attack is a short-ranged ectoplasmic glop, and if he touches you directly, you'll be terribly poisoned. It is very easy to stay away from him, as he is fairly slow-moving and his movements are predictable. - The only hammer you will need is the Planetsmasher. Depending on your level, it will only take about 6 hammer hits to make Spookley 'ghost out', switching his corporeal form to the other world, rendering himself invulnerable where you are. You can see when this happens with a small flash of light, a ghostly noise, and Spookley becoming transparent. You won't need any mystical powers for this fight, other than the ability to switch worlds, and you shouldn't use any. You need to save that Energy for The Dumb Side. - When ghostly, Spookley slowly heals. But more importantly, he doesn't heal when he is solid. Don't be afraid to be patient when you are in the real world. Let him wander around while your Life and Energy recharge. He also constantly summons Spooky Ghosts, which are nearly harmless, but a great source of Life and Energy. But as soon as you make him ghostly, quickly switch to the other side to stop his healing. - Before using the portal to The Dumb Side, make sure that Spookley is not near it. He will be in the same position in both worlds, and you don't want to be caught near him. Damage done to you on The Dumb Side directly drains your Energy rather than Life, so it can be a very short visit, leaving you back in the real world slowly gathering energy while Spookley heals, invincible. - On The Dumb Side, just work as quickly as possible - hit him with a bunch of hammers, and as soon as he turns ghostly, head back to the portal. You should not be using up much energy on The Dumb Side. If you are having a very hard time, chances are your Planetsmasher is low level. Work on upgrading it anywhere there are large numbers of enemies to be captured. The higher its level, the slower your Energy drains while on The Dumb Side.
