A fast-growing municipality, Mount Pearl prides itself as having access to all the amenities of the capital city, without all the traffic problems, even though it takes about three hours to turn left off of Topsail Road onto Commonwealth Avenue. It is thought to be one of the major sources of Skeets that hang out at the Metrobus stop at the Village Mall.
