Lobot was fitted with an expensive Borg Construct Aj^6 implant, with the optional Locutus upgrade. This gave him immense powers of computation and the ability to interface with Cloud City computers, as well as killing his soul. He was originally assigned to work for Lando as part of his community service, but then stayed on because of the ready availability of glistening disco dance halls and Lando's sloppy seconds.
