The long tusk like canine teeth set this strange deer apart from its relatives. Although they do make it look somewhat evil and carnivorous the musk deer is infact a solitary herbivore. Although they may look like a vapiers fangs, the males tusks are used like antlers, which the primitive musk deers lack. They are a vital food source for many predators including wolves, bears, wolverines and the rare Siberian Tiger.
