Farms area, administratively subordinated to Qarsita town, Qarn Jayroun is a northern lebanese village located in the north-east of Miniyeh-Danniyeh District at an altitude between 800 and 2000 m above sea level. It is bounded from the north by Alqamamin town which separates it from Akkar district and from the east by western mount chain of Lebanon,from the south by the village of Jayroun or Geron and from the west by Nahr El-Bared (or River of Moses as the locals call), which rise from the high barren mountains region. This river separates Qarn Jayroun from the Akkari's villages Hrar and Qabeit. An area of about -10 kilometers square of mostly forests. This river separates Qarn Jayroun from the Akkari's villages Hrar and Qabeit. An area of about -10 kilometers square of mostly forests. In agricultural seasons, many families which belong to Qarsita live and work there. Most of them live either in Qarsita or on the outskirts of the city of Tripoli, Lebanon. Qarn Jayroun is located about 40 km far from Tripoli and 120 km from the capital, Beirut. Can be accessed either through Miniyeh-Danniyeh District main road or across the new road through Taran village or even through the desolate area of Akkar, across the road which connects the town of Bebnine to Qabeit in the east of Akkar. It needs about an hour to reach there from the center of Tripoli, Lebanon (the second capital of Lebanon). Allouch, Alwan, Ibrahim This village is characterized by the presence of a cedar forest, which is symbolic in Lebanon, in their mountains. In addition, this area contains a large number of rare plants and trees such as Junipers, Arbutus,Abies cilicica,Quercus, etc. It is also characterized by a very impressive location from which you can see most of the Akkari's towns, Tripoli as well as parts of the Syrian coast. This region is considered as the most important hiking area in the district because of the picturesque nature and the durable quiet. The pear considers the most important agricultural product in there, then peaches, apples, cherries, grapes and many other fruits and varied vegetables. In addition, the presence of large agricultural areas have allowed as well as the production of wheat, chickpeas and others. Recently, beekeeping and some animal farms have been built up. Most of the farmers rely on to water storage to irrigate their land. Drinking water has been brought from the highest mountains in the Lebanese western chain for a distance of 25 km in the rugged mountains and access to homes and farms by personal initiative of farmers in the region. Given the remoteness of the area and rugged roads, the population suffers from the difficulty of selling their agricultural products.
