| - Leather Breastplates are chest-covering parts of the Leather armor "set" and will reduce the damage your player-character takes from creatures' attacks. The Leather Breastplate offers 30 defense points. When worn Leather Breastplates will replace the shirt of your player character with a sturdier sleevesless vest. The colors of Leather Breastplates will be adjusted to what you have chosen (and can change anytime) in the character costumization - accessible when starting the game by clicking on the gear-like orange symbol in the top right corner. The crafting recipes for all leather armor (Leather Pauldron, Leather Leggings, Leather Breastplates and Leather Armguards) are unlocked all at once when taking Leather for the first time, which is often dropped as loot or can be received as a pet-harvest from a Pigsy or Night Pigsy, but can also be obtained as loot or pet-harvest from most other creatures as an occasional addition. To craft a Leather Breastplate, you'll need (as of R25 in November 2015):
* 2 Rockster Rocks from Rocksters or Night Rocksters, or made from 2 Pebble's Pebbles each - either as a loot or as a harvest from Pets
* 4 pieces of Leather, as a loot or pet-harvest from many creatures, mainly from Pigsies or Night Pigsies
* 1 Twine made from Vines in a Processor Crafting or taking a Leather Breastplate will automatically unlock the recipe for Obsidian Breastplates. Leather armor is the first (tier) armor-type that you can craft in Creativerse. Leather armor can also be found occasionally in Obsidian Treasure Chests on the Stalactite layer underground in deep caves, spawning only in complete darkness, mainly on Stalactite or Siltstone. Sometimes pieces of leather armor can also be obtained from Keepas of any kind as loot or pet-harvest. Currently (R31 in May 2016) armor merely protects your player-character from the impact of physical hits from creatures, reducing the damage inflicted on the character. To equip armor, right-click on the respective armor-piece in your inventory or drag it with left-click from the inventory into an armor-slot on the right side next to your character's model. Creatures usually hit only one piece of armor with each hit, which will reduce the durability of the armor, until it will fall apart completely. Repairing armor is not possible currently (May 2016). The durability of armor is indicated by the shrinking length of the green bar on the icons of the armor pieces in the character-window; and also as a color-code on the armor-doll in the bottom left corner of the main game-UI. Green armor-pieces have (nearly) full durability, yellow pieces have reduced durability, pale red pieces are nearly fully worn out and. Black parts of the armor doll are not protected by any armor.
