Verland is a Lovian hamlet on the northernmost tip of East Sylvania, in the state of Sylvania. It was founded by Dutch colonists. It is a popular touristic destination, boasting a range of hotels and bed-and-breakfasts. The woods and fields around the hamlet are popular hiking areas. Verland is the one of the few places in Lovia where the Dutch language is still thriving. Many people speak Dutch at home, and most road signs are bilingual. Dutch is an optional subject at the only primary school of Verland.
