New-TNA Turning Point was the event that marked the official company reset in New-TNA. This show featured the debut of new Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Jarrett, who was left in power thanks to a Chinese consortation purchasing New-TNA. Jeff Jarrett's first actions as CEO involved relegating former TNA World Champion, Oshujax, into nothing more than a color commentator alongside Louden Styles and vacating all Championships in New-TNA. This would also be the last night we would see Theodore Long as General Manager, who vowed that he would return when Jarrett "messed up and got out of line."

  • New-TNA Turning Point was the event that marked the official company reset in New-TNA. This would also be the last night we would see Theodore Long as General Manager, who vowed that he would return when Jarrett "messed up and got out of line." To fill the vacancies for the Championships, Jarrett made three announcements. First, the TNA Tag Team Championships would be decided through a mini tag team tournament, featuring the Motor City Machine Guns, The Million Dollar Congregation, The British Invasion, and the newly formed Abandoned. Next, there would be a 20 minute X-Division Scramble featuring former Champion Trey Owens, Jay Lethal, Austin Aries, Bryan Davis, and Akira Tozawa for the TNA X Division Championship. And finally, there would be a Six-Pack Challenge featuring six of New-TNA's top talents in the main event with the prestigious TNA World Heavyweight Championship on the line. The six men in this main event match were Jeff Hardy, James Storm, AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe...and, controversially, CEO Jeff Jarrett.
