This S470 features a mahogany body bolted to a maple Wizard II neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include Ibanez Axis pickups and a double locking tremolo bridge. The S470L is a left-handed version. The S470DX is a similar model with a bound fretboard with sharktooth inlays. The S470FM is a similar model with a flamed maple top. The S470 was discontinued after 2001, but the model name was resurrected in 2003 with a completely revised model which was produced in Korea and eventually Indonesia.
