The Argentum Calvariam did not take part in the Battles of Reach or Earth, but did before hand engage in some skirmishes with Covenant ships who would have arrived to bring more troops into the field. Over it's service time during the war -that being around seven months- it destroyed four Covenant ships. It was commanded then, and even now by the tactically ingenious Captain Friedrich von Herman, who came from a family of naval officers stretching it's legacy back three centuries. The Argentum Calvariam was in fact named by the Captain himself, who took the name from a small Silver Skull badge he had carried with him for his entire life. he does not speak of the badge's significance to anyone but his own family.
