After Operation Shiden invaded and occupied New Zealand, the country was annexed into Japan's Greater East Asian Co-Prosperity Sphere. New Zealand, like Australia, were different from the other nations Japan had taken over, as both were countries of predominitely white people, with small minorities of natives, who were much better treated in NZ then anywhere else in Asia.
