- The Present (現代 Gendai?) is the year 1000 A.D. in Chrono Trigger. It is the time period where the game begins and is visited only a few times and for very short sequences during the main storyline.
- The Present is an that is present in the RuneScape Classic data files, but was never added to the game. This item could possibly have been planned to be used during the holiday drop on 22 December 2003, but instead ended up being scrapped due to issues around rare tradeable holiday drops.

- The present is an item, depicted as a red box laced with a white ribbon which may drop after defeating a zombie in any level or be given as a reward randomly in Plants vs. Zombies. Presents drop very rarely and they may give the player Zen Garden plants or unlockable games. It will make a dinging or chiming sound when it is dropped, which is the same sound that chocolate and diamond make. They often are plants for the player's Zen Garden. Usually whenever you get a present, the plant that will grow from it will be the plant unlocked in that area (e.g. Puff-shroom at Night). It is possible to find more than one present in a level. After beating Adventure Mode, the player can still earn presents, but they will not unlock any more modes.
- If thrown at a hostile NPC or the PC, it deals chaos damage dependent on the target's Will and Magic Device. It can potentially kill starter PCs. If thrown at a non-hostile NPC or pet, it will heal an amount of HP that is dependent on the target's and the attacker's Will attributes. If thrown at a non-hostile NPC, the NPC will go hostile for the next throw. Thus, the effect will be the same as throwing at a hostile NPC for the next throw. Player will also get karma penalty if the target is a talkable NPC. Throwing it will deal no weight-dependent damage. Is not consumed by throwing.
- The Present is an item that can only be purchased from Dealers, and it costs $45,000. Well, what does a really expensive present do that makes it so expensive? Well... it contains a surprise. Sometimes, it will give you a random Special Agent. Sometimes it will refund you and give you an extra $10,000. Sometimes it will give you a free 2-2 Delusional Monkey that will be placed randomly on the track, but this is EXTREMELY rare.

- A Present is a gift box found on walks. The bow is red and the box is white. If a player makes the dog go through a ? on the walk map in Nintendogs, it can be either a present or a dog. Rare presents are found on the ground at random spots. The area of a rare present is spotted when the dog on the map stops and the player's dog is still moving. This can also mean that Trash is coming up. To get a present at home you must not touch the screen when it goes black. It will take about 4 to 15 minutes, after that wait about 20 minutes and do not touch your while that happens or it will not work for one of your dogs to get a runaway present.
- There are two types of presents that have made appearances in City of Heroes and City of Villains.
