Hey all, I'm making this forum so we can help Coruscantfan ensure that his Republic Strategic Information Service article is as comprehensive as possible—it'll also be a good first test of the guild's ability to record and reproduce substantive information to help promote an article.

  • Hey all, I'm making this forum so we can help Coruscantfan ensure that his Republic Strategic Information Service article is as comprehensive as possible—it'll also be a good first test of the guild's ability to record and reproduce substantive information to help promote an article. So here's the deal: as I've been reviewing the article and playing the game, I've noticed that, while Coruscantfan does have a well-written article, it is still missing quite a few things from within the game. Information on the SIS is spread across the game, and impacts every character class and faction storyline. Knowing that, I've put together this forum so that we can post any new information that we find in-game for Coruscantfan to add to his article. Simply start with the template to specify in which mission or location the information can be found, and then add any pertinent details. And of course, don't forget to sign. * An added note from Coruscantfan: If during the game people see SIS agents/facilities, please take screenshots of them and create articles for them. While I could probably find pictures of some of the them online, it would help so that the article doesn't get overwhelmed with redlinks and lack of images. Categories for the characters, images, and other SIS articles have already been created. Again thanks a lot for the help! * Note on failed nomination: It became apparent to me that to try to update the article with the vast amount of information to go through while still hoping for FA status was going to be extremely hard (time wise) especially as I saw how much we still hadn't even gotten to. So at this point the nomination has been removed at my request. However, I will continue to work on the article as time allows along with the various CSF articles after I return from a leave of absence during the May. So thank you all for the help that was offered, it was much appreciated and I'll nominate this again hopefully very soon. Thanks! Coruscantfan (Talk) 00:50, April 19, 2012 (UTC) * . On Voss, a promising Sith named Durik Vesh went into the Nightmare Lands seeking the source of the dark side energy there. He went mad in the process and was later captured by the Republic and taken to an SIS camp on the planet, where they tried to extract his addled brain for information on the Empire and the Nightmare lands. The SIS eventually decided to move him, but Darth Serevin learns of this and sends Kallig to ambush the convoy and kill Vesh. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 04:02, March 27, 2012 (UTC) * Mission has been added, thanks. Coruscantfan (Talk) 14:54, March 27, 2012 (UTC) * Hey everyone, In your "travels", please keep an eye out for an SIS Agent Ardun Kothe. I'm not even sure he's canon but if he is I can't find a reference to this guy for the life of me. Thanks. Coruscantfan (Talk) 14:52, March 27, 2012 (UTC) * When all else fails, Google. DarthHater DB and TORHead have really comprehensive lists of almost every single NPC in the game, so I always check there. Apparently, he's in an Abandoned Warehouse on Quesh. Here's some links that I found: —Cade Calrayn 15:44, March 27, 2012 (UTC) * Here's a youtube link I found about the character: * Here's the DarthHater DB page - it'll show how to find them: * And hey, Coruscantfan, there's a weird grammar error in the "Coruscant operations" section of the SIS page. It says "Galen along with other Jedi Masters, went on..." I think you're missing a comma, but I didn't want to interfere with your edits. Cheers! —Cade Calrayn 15:46, March 27, 2012 (UTC) * Thanks for the info. I also found which looks to be a very reliable database. Coruscantfan (Talk) 03:54, March 28, 2012 (UTC) * . Jatta Kuum was a male Togruta who worked for the Strategic Information Service during the Cold War. He was stationed in the Nikto Sector on Nar Shaddaa, where he was monitoring separatist movements funded by Kata the Hutt. Kata's profits from his illegal pit fights went to the separatists on Ord Mantell and other planets. A traveling hero helped him stop Kata's pit fights - and thereby the funding of the separatists - by destroying Kata's vault, where all of the Hutt's files were held. After the vault was destroyed, Kuum told the hero that he planned to infiltrate the movements. * It's for all Republic characters, and I'll upload the image soon too. —Cade Calrayn File:StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg 20:17, March 29, 2012 (UTC) * Thanks, I created his article and uploaded an image. Coruscantfan (Talk) 23:16, April 7, 2012 (UTC) * . The Twi'lek SIS agent Nurls Yorksin provides this mission to Republic characters. She approaches the PC outside of the Senate Tower, next to the taxi pad, and reveals that she's undercover investigating the Finaq Shipping Company, who is shipping contraband weapons on-planet. Her operation was futzed up when the Black Sun began hijacking Finaq's freighters, killing the crew and grabbing the cargo. To prevent blowing their cover, she can't send in SIS, and so decides to go with the PC. I'll post the results asap. Darth Trayus(Trayus Academy) 08:43, March 31, 2012 (UTC) * I completed the mission already and I've added it to the article, thanks. * - There's a whole series of Republic quests involving SIS agent Fauler, Kamus Orden, and Czerka. I'll get a better summary soon... —Cade Calrayn File:StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg 15:58, April 3, 2012 (UTC) * - there's two or three quests in a SIS base in Shadow Town on Nar Shaddaa. —Cade Calrayn File:StupidRepublicEmblem-Traced-TORkit.svg 15:58, April 3, 2012 (UTC)
