It's always funny seeing what Ceej comes up with in the sprite round for characters that have no sprites. I'm still waiting for the day when fan-made sprites are put into match pics. It didn't occur to me until just now that Auron's match with Ganondorf is his only non-Square loss. His other three have been to Cloud, Sephiroth and now Crono. Against Cloud and Sephiroth, Auron didn't do so hot. But this was Crono that Auron was up against, which meant guaranteed percentage bleed after Crono's night vote surge.

This match was essentially Crono vs Vincent II. Crono made a decent push for 60% early, then bled percentage quickly until the match reached a static intake. The final percentage against Vincent didn't look so hot, but Crono went on to have a respectable finish to last year's contest. Same thing here, minus the respectable finish part. I know putting a lot of stock into likely SFF-heavy stats is stupid, but Auron vs Vincent would be a damn good match based off this result. Or at least, it would have been in 2005. And on that note, all the division winners were decided. This contest seemed like it would have a rather boring stretch run (I mean damn, look at the first three rounds; very little went on), but this thing grew historic at a meteoric rate.
