Stonetree-ites (or Stonetrees) is the most usually cited name for the Forever Knight fan faction devoted to Nick's boss in Season One, Capt. Joe Stonetree. When the first factions were established, Stonetree was the only regularly appearing character who did not have his own affiliation. A name was proposed for his faction, the Scorpions; but at that time the fandom was relatively small, and factions for minor characters never really emerged. By Season Three, a large number of faction names had been proposed, including several for minor characters; and a new name was established for a Stonetree-oriented faction, the name "Stonetree-ites", which commonly appears on FAQ lists.
