Addicane Fred was the first addicane in meteorological history. Addicane Fred formed as a addidepression on July 19, quickly strengthening from an addidepression to a addistorm. Shortly after, it hit the Yucatan Peninsula adding 23% more land area to it. After crossing it, Fred intensified further to a addicane and hit Mexico adding 44% more land to it. It eventually dissipated while in the East Pacific.
