Solomon ("Sol") Butler' (March 3, 1895 – December 1, 1954) was a multi-talented athlete who competed in football as well as track and field. He competed in the 1920 Summer Olympics. That year he finished seventh in the long jump competition. He also played in the National Football League for the Hammond Pros, Akron Pros, Canton Bulldogs, Buffalo Bisons, and Rock Island Independents. Mr. Butler is buried at Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita, KS.
