- Cleveland Brown claims that Tracy Morgan an African, rather than an African-American because he fits the stereotype of droopy National Geographic boobies, pot belly and surrounded by flies which Donna dismisses as just being filthy in "The Men in Me". But when Cleveland heads out to discover who he really is, he finds out that Tracy has eaten all of his trail mix which he thought was garbage.
- In 2011, Morgan raised controversy in saying he would stab his son if he were gay. He later apologized for these remarks.
