None, however, were successful, and by the mid 24th century, the planet was abandoned. However, the planet was selected by the Denevan government as a destination in the event of a planetwide emergency and evacuation. Following the destruction of Deneva during the Borg Invasion of 2381, several thousand survivors resettled on Ingraham B. (TNG novel: Losing the Peace)

(TNG-R: "Inheritance" ) According to the novel Losing the Peace, after the incident with the neural parasites, Denevan leaders created an emergency plan to evacuate citizens to Ingraham B in the event of a similar worldwide crisis. This plan was put into motion when Deneva was attacked and annihilated by the Borg Collective during their 2381 invasion of the Alpha Quadrant, saving the lives of thousands of Denevans.
