Team High Performance Japan (THP-J or THP Japan for short) is an off-shoot of Team High Performance based in Japan. It was started up in the late 1990s at the very height of the yo-yo boom, and helped along in Bandai's Hyper Yo-Yo promotions. In August 2015 at the World Yo-Yo Contest, a reunion was held for a number of former THP Japan members, with former THP Hawaii members Alan Batangan, Takumi Sakamoto, and Nakamura-Meijin also attending.
