Bahrām Bīdār (File:Bahram bidar.png), also known as Vahrām Bīdār, Verethragna Bīdār, or simply the Bīdār, was a 1st century Aldegarian sage and the founder of Daenism. Living under the Phraatid Empire, Bahram taught mostly in northern Aldegar and in Tukarali. The Aldegarian word Bīdār means "awakened one" or "the enlightened one". The Bidar taught a Middle Path between sensual excess and the extreme asceticism popular within the Zamāni movement of his time, putting down the basic principles of emerging Daenism.
