Trinidad & Tobago international Ronnie Mauge joined Rovers in the summer of 1999 on a free transfer from Plymouth Argyle. In all, he played 50 league games for Rovers plus three substitute apperances before retiring towards the end of the 2001/02 season. All eight of his Trinidad caps came during his time at Rovers. Ronnie was eligible for Trinidad & Tobago through his parentage. He played in many games in the lead up to the 2000 Gold Cup but played just once during the tournament, the 4-0 defeat to Mexico in which he broke his leg.

  • Trinidad & Tobago international Ronnie Mauge joined Rovers in the summer of 1999 on a free transfer from Plymouth Argyle. In all, he played 50 league games for Rovers plus three substitute apperances before retiring towards the end of the 2001/02 season. All eight of his Trinidad caps came during his time at Rovers. Mauge started his career as a trainee with Charlton Athletic before Fulham signed him in 1988. Two years and 50 apperances later and he was on his way to Bury for £40,000 where he remained for five years including a short loan spell at Manchester City. Plymouth Argyle then signed him, again for £40,000 and he went to play 135 games for the pilgrims until his move to Rovers. Ronnie was eligible for Trinidad & Tobago through his parentage. He played in many games in the lead up to the 2000 Gold Cup but played just once during the tournament, the 4-0 defeat to Mexico in which he broke his leg.
