- Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of light è un capitolo spin-off della saga di Final Fantasy, realizzato sulla console Nintendo DS. Il gioco, inteso come "un JRPG classico creato con la tecnologia moderna", è uscito il 29 ottobre 2009 in Giappone il 5 ottobre 2010 in America e l'8 dello stesso mese in Europa. Il team di sviluppo che lo realizzò pensò inizialmente di fare anche un seguito, ma successivamente il progetto si evolse in qualcosa di a sè stante, dando origine al gioco Bravely Default: Flying Fairy.
- Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light es un gaiden, Spin-off o historia alternativa de la saga principal de Final Fantasy. Su lanzamiento para Nintendo DS se produjo el 29 de octubre de 2009, en América, el 5 de octubre de 2010 y para toda la zona PAL el 8 de octubre de 2010. El juego es el segundo en llamarse Final Fantasy Gaiden en Japón, después de Seiken Densetsu ~Final Fantasy Gaiden~ (que fue renombrado como Final Fantasy Adventure en América del Norte), aunque los dos juegos no tienen ninguna relación entre ellos.
- The game is the second to be released with the Final Fantasy Gaiden subtitle in Japan, after Seiken Densetsu ~Final Fantasy Gaiden~ (which had been released as Final Fantasy Adventure in North America), though the two games have no relations to each other. Character design is done by Akihiko Yoshida, and the development team of Final Fantasy IV DS all returned to work on the title. While the four Heroes of Light have their default names, the player can name them at the beginning of the game, similar to Final Fantasy II.
