Despite his hatred of Rheinland's leaders, he is still fanatically loyal to Rheinland itself. In his own words to Trent, "You have no idea how difficult it was to betray my world in order to save it."

Trent's log states that he is missing and presumed dead, but adds that he does not believe that Von Claussen could die so easily.
