The Furian Empire was an attempt by Darth Vesanus to create an empire that could conquer the galaxy. It officially formed in 3,619 BBY, but plans for it went as far back as 3,668 BBY. It was originally conceived by Darth Malgus, and he took Vesanus as his apprentice to aid him in the empire's creation. The plan was continued by Vesanus after Malgus' death. He took two apprentices and used them to begin to create it. He stored up ships and recruited men from former Sith planets. In 3,619 BBY the Massassi were recruited by Darth Ximus, and the empire was officially acknowledge as beginning. Vesanus led an assault of Coruscant immediately, and he was defeated and killed in 3,618 BBY. His first apprentice, Darth Nereis was killed as well. Darth Ximus took over the empire and prepared for war.

Ximus' apprentice, Darth Uzlagna retreated with the small remnants to beyond the galaxy. He adopted their symbol around 3,615 BBY.
