| - Murusa Starscream as Hackjob Chains as Arclight Smeltdown Nitrogear as Saurius The Apollo Rocket stands at ready to receive her astronauts. The Crystal City guard named the Angels are standing guard. The defense grid and force field are in place, the former scanning the area for any interloping Cons. Murusa herself is waiting by the rockets for the astronaut’s arrival. Hackjob approaches, getting ready to board the rocket and become an EXPLORER IN SPACE! This is a big moment for him. One small step for mechs, one giant leap for mech-kind. At least they didn't make him have energon in little tubes like toothpaste. Arclight approaches after all the checks for space worthiness are done. Much as his primary function is with mechanics, the old combat engineer still always tires of these checks and precautions by all the mechbots who haven't seen enough of the front. He approaches Murusa as soon as he's given the all clear. Smeltdown chugs in, stopping a moment to transform. Fortunately since his arms come from the back he can just pick up the crate he was carrying in the process and tucks it under an arm by the time he's fully in robot mode and trotting over to the others. "Got that last set of drills and core samplers here, Murusa! I hate cuttin' close to a deadline, but it took longer than I expected to hustle up the materials to reforge these old things into something useful again." Saurius arrives as well, tools in hand. He carries hammers, nails, glue, and duct tape - Heck, duct tape fixes anything! - along with several other construction type tools, wrenches, etc. Seeing everyone there, he walks over to the group as well. "All the engineering construction checks out on the launch pad." Murusa was honestly just expecting one astronaut to show up, after having spent so much time trying to track them down after their initial interviews. She smiles as she sees not one, but a few of them walking toward the rocket. She glances over toward Smeltdown. "Better now than when we are up there. You are coming along aren't you?" she asks him. Then to the astronauts, "Good cycle all. I am happy to see you all. Here I thought I may be going up by myself." a pause, "Good to see prepared mechs." a smile given to the group. Hackjob's a good pilot, which is why he was selected for this mission. "Let's hope it doesn't all fall apart," he murmurs. He paces slightly as he awaits the final safety checks to be made. Arclight considers Murusa a few moments. "I wouldn't have missed it." he replies gruffly. "And if things fall apart, I believe that's why I'm along. I'm just hoping it don't fall apart explosively is all. Everyone stay in one piece. Please tell me we're not triple checking the checks of the checks though? I want to get airborne." Smeltdown laughs a bit as he passes off his container to one of the generics to load onto the rocket with the other hardware. "Been a while since I've done a survey mission, I might be rusty," replies the old workhorse to Murusa with a grin. Saurius replies, "Good cycle indeed. I am looking forward to finally going up there." Saurius passes his toolset to the generics as well, with "Place these in the cabin, along with the rest of the repairing tools in case we need them." The worker nods, and proceeds to the rocket. Murusa assures Hackjob rather confidently, "It won't." a smile given to Arclight, "It's been checked enough I assure you, all you need to do is board, get buckled in, and enjoy the ride to the moon before the work begins." A chuckle at Smeltdown, correcting lightly, "Survey and build, my friend. I have some preliminary surveys via satellite, so we will know where to land." A nod to Saurius. "Shall we all board?" Hackjob nods at Murusa as he approaches. "Yes, I'm eager to get on board," he says, "I've always wanted to explore the moon." He climbs into the passenger compartment and buckles himself in to the pilot's seat. Chains heads for the ship, letting the others handle the piloting. As soon as he can sit down, he plugs in his system scanners, trying to get a full detailing of all of the equipment on board and quality of the tools they have to work with. He keeps his own tools on them, having spent most of his time in a little different type of construction than most of the others. Smeltdown tromps along after the others into the ship. "It -will- be good to get up there and do somethin' useful with it other than just scenery at night," said with a snicker. And idly wonders if he's the only one here that has a transport based alt-mode. Oh well, carrying stuff is probably half the reason they wanted him along anyways, hee. Saurius nods back to Murusa, and proceeds to the rocket. "Yeah, this is gonna be a good, productive trip." replying to Smeltdown. With that, Saurius proceeds to enter the rocket, and strap into a passenger seat. Murusa nods to Hackjob, watching him head on it with Arclight is on his heels. A smile given to Smeltdown as he heads on it. Once Saurius enters, she signals to the Angels and radios the tower that they'll be ready to take off momentarily. Only then does she board as well. Seeing who is seated where, she settles next to Smeltdown. "Begin when you are ready pilot." Hackjob starts pressing the buttons to start up the rocket. It takes a few minutes before the engines start up. "Here we go," he says, "Everybody buckled in?" Arclight gets the readings and layout. The eighth law of remote missions: You will forget something, the question is a matter of what you forget. He's trying to check their holds and readings to find out what that might be. Too late now to adjust, but he can at least anticipate workarounds if needed. So far, he's not finding any gaps for a construction and survey mission, though he's unsure if that's a good thing, or meaning it'll be a bigger disaster when he finds it - probably in accordance with law #11 - you will find #8 right when you need it. "I'm all strapped and plugged in, just checking our specs. If you're short computer power, I'll unplug and just whistle to pass the time, eh? Locked and loaded, let's do this." Smeltdown settles into his seat and straps in. Not really much for him to do until they get there, so he may as well sit back and enjoy the ride. "Where's the snack cart and in-flight holo-movie?", he remarks with a teasing snicker, then sits back. "All strapped in here. Let's light this firecracker." Saurius is buckled up and ready to rock. "Let's Roll!" Saurius says, with much enthusiasm. His optics are looking forward, as if looking out the front windows. Murusa replies, "Yes." Listening to her comm a moment, "Tower says the skies are clear. Force field will be down for 30 microseconds starting in 10 microseconds." To Arclight she assures, "I personally checked our load, we have all we need and then some." A chuckle at Smeltdown. "It won't take us that long to get there." The engines roar to full power, and the rocket begins to move vertically. The G forces make the Pilot smoosh back in his seat and he grasps the throttle stick firmly. "And awaaaaaaaay we go!" Arclight nods to Murusa. "Ok, I'll trust you guys to handle the specs. You know what we're doing after all. I'm just used to defense command planning the repair missions. You guys probably have a better head for it." Still doesn't ease his mind much, but it gets him off of mission specs, and double checking his weapons and ammunition supplies. They aren't /supposed/ to need those, but this is what you get when you get a combat engineer along instead of a construction bot. Thankfully, he can do most of it internal, since he's as affected by the sudden rush of g-forces as everyone else. Smeltdown on the other hand is quite happy to be on a mission other than the soldier stuff, if albeit only temporarily. He was only a warrior by necessity after all. "Rrrf." A bit of a grunt as the force of take-off rattles through his form, but it's really just a minor discomfort. The g-forces smoosh Saurius back into his seat as well, affecting him along with the rest of the crew. Saurius goes over the equipment load out, along with construction supplies and tools. "Hmmm, I wonder what will need built." Saurius mulls quietly. Murusa smiles to Arclight, "There was plenty planning for this, and unfortunately a bit of delay due to the Council being concerned with the energon cost for the launch. I managed to convince them the solar array would pay us back for a long time to come. Especially the way we'll be building it out." Then the g-forces kick in and she goes silent. The journey so far seems to go without a hitch, and Hackjob pilots expertly, finding a spot on the scanners where he can land this thing. Ahhh, a nice wide maria that is relatively flat and close to where they want to drill for samples. As they're preparing for landing, Arclight speaks up over the coms to make sure he's heard. "Anyone object to me going and taking a poke around first? I know there's security and scans and all, but I trust my own optics more. Then we can start unloading the gear?" Once the g-forces let up a little Smeltdown goes back to checking his own stuff. Fortunately his internal thermal generation system doesn't require air to 'burn' so he should still be able to use it. "Better you than me, I gotta carry our stuff." "We each have reasons to take a poke around, either finding good spots to drill, or the area to build the Solar Array. We should wait until the scans are complete, minimum" Saurius replies to Arclight, erring on the side of caution. Murusa taps up the area that was previously scanned from the ground, this is where they should be landing, and that is if Hackjob didn't have them up already. "If you wish to secure the area Arclight that's fine. Just don't take too long, the quicker we can unload the faster we get the building up and the array running." she stresses the 'we' so Smeltdown knows he'll not be alone in carrying stuff out. A pause as she considers what Saurius has said, "I was assured by the scientist the area that was scanned should be safe to build upon, but I suppose a on ground scan is in order to verify those findings." Hackjob lands the craft without a bounce. The rocket comes to a halt on the surface and once it's settled, Hackjob unbuckles. "Ok, everybody out that's going out," he says, "We have work to do." Arclight nods. "Thank you, ma'am. I'm used to doing combat repairs under fire, and securing structures under bombardment... this ought to be like a walk in the park. But my servos will twitch a lot less once I have a look around for myself. I'll make it quick, promise." he replies, unstrapping and heading out to do a clock-points check of the area, a quick scan at 12, 3, 6 and 9 before he'll give the all-clear. Smeltdown chuckles a bit, catching Murusa's subtle hint as he unhooks his straps and gets out of his seat. "Well, while he's checking the area out, we can start making sure everything is ready once he gives the all clear eh?" He stretches some, though it wasn't really a trip long enough to need it, it's just a habit. Moon Base 3 Saurius exits the rocket, and walks over to where the equipment is being unloaded. He quickly lends a hand to unloading the equipment from the rocket's cargo bays, being part of the chain that's moving the gear. "Let's get this equipment unloaded." Saurius says, although pretty obvious - after the fact. Murusa smiles as Hack lands the rocket with no issue and out the door quickly, not wasting time that one! "Excellent." this said to Arclight, a pause, "It was all strapped in Smeltdown, I'm sure everything is fine." she unbuckles and gets up out of her seat, "But feel free to begin unstrapping stuff. I'll assist you." Hackjob strides around on the moon. The gravity's a bit lighter, since it's a smaller orbital body, so it's like he can take larger jumps if he wants. He takes out a pole with a little blinky marker on it and drives it into the ground. Staking the claim. "The claim beacon's active and planted," he reports. Arclight continues to run scans. His primary job is still engineer, and he'll get around to helping with the gear and all, but things are a lot quieter than most of the work he gets, and paranoia is never a bad thing when you're used to being in a warzone. Finally content things are actually quiet, he heads back to help move equipment. He's not a transport-alt, but his heavy bridge layer form is still suited fine for getting a few heavy things from place to place. "Still clear." he calls, heading back to pick up some of the heavier gear. Smeltdown on the other hand is built for such manual labor, in both modes. Though for getting things off the rocket all it really takes is a good sturdy pair of arms and maybe a trolley-cart or two. When they need to start really hauling things around, that's when being able to transform into a treaded transport will come in handy. "Looks like everything made the trip just fine," he comments to Murusa as they're unloading. "Thanks, Murusa." Saurius adds, "Here, form a chain, it will go much faster." Saurius points to the spot immediately to his side for Murusa to stand. Saurius simply unstraps the gear from Smeltdown and passes it off to Murusa, going down the line to the last Mech. Murusa moves to the load bay area of the rocket, working on unstrapping. She has her comm open for those outside, just in case something comes up - though she doubts there'll be anything up here other than them. She favors Smeltdown with a smile, "Told you so." She nods to Saurius, taking a spot at the door as Saurius unstraps and hands things over to her. "Good plan." she smiles. "So, when are we starting the drilling?" Hackjob asks. He's pretty good with such equipment. It's nice to branch out into various specialties. He of course helps with passing the equipment from rocket to the outside. Arclight lets the others form most of the chain while he focuses mostly on shifting the heavier gear about and starting set up unless given other instructions. He remains on alert, but tries not to bother the others with his twitchy servos, settling for just keeping his optics open while he prepares his assessments for the foundation work, leaving others to consider the drilling and other finesse work. He can do it, but it’s not his specialty the way structural and fortification work is. "Ah, good idea it is lad." The chain gang idea certainly gets things moving along in a steady rhythm, making it easier for him to check things off as they go against his mental list. "Put the lighter things like the panels and turrets just by the rocket for now, so they don't get bumped around by the heavier stuff while we're puttin' the frame and building up," he calls out to the others so they can keep things sorted. Smeltdown also fails for forgetting his name in his pose. Saurius straps the last of the equipment off from Smeltdown, handing it to Murusa and surveying the build site. "Looks like we'll want to put the solar panels there, after the foundation is laid." Saurius gestures over to where Arclight is already working on the foundation. "Need a hand?" Saurius hollers, asking Arclight. Murusa comms back to Hackjob, "We shouldn't have to drill. Unless you found some sort of instability in the ground that requires a bit of reinforcing?" If Arclight runs into a piece that's too heavy for one, she assists him, otherwise standing in the doorway and handing off stuff to Smeltdown. She's sure that Saurius or Hackjob will step in to help Smeltdown when those heavy pieces come out. Seems the work was quick, but then she planned it that way! Prefab is great like that. Hackjob points to a patch of lunar regolith. It appears a bit wide and deep. "We might want to drill into that," he says, "It could hold some valuable elements." There's a glance towards Saurius, and Arclight nods. "If you have a good structural engineering program, yeah. Personally, I'd rather start getting the defense grid assembled so we can put it online as soon as we have main power - even if we're still in the early stages, I'd feel better with scanners and field capabilities. But my specialty is structural and fortifications, so that's where I'm getting started. Our mission leader want to start moving the unpacked gear into the order she wants us to assemble things in, so we can just unpack, move the crates, and assemble so we're never cluttering our work area?" Yeah, military efficiency at work. "I want to take some soil samples before we leave, just to see what else might be up here, but that can wait until afterwards." Smeltdown laughs a bit as Hackjob seems to be thinking the same thing. "Gotta get the framework up first, since most of what everything hooks up to goes in there." With the major unloading done he transforms for moving around some of the heavier construction pieces. That and he does have an arm and winch that can be used as a crane if need be in vehicle mode. "Assemblin' some of the basic stuff beforehand is paying off." You paged Nitrogear with 'scanners will depend on energon collected by the array, hence the tanks. you can set them up, but they won't work til they are hooked up.' "Alright I'll leave the foundation to you, Arclight. Gonna help out Smeltdown with this heavy equipment and framework." With that, Saurius makes his way over to the initial framework piece, and waits to hook it up to Smeltdown's crane. "Ready to hook it up, Smeltdown." Murusa ahs softly as Hackjob clarifies, "How about after we get this building erected and all the parts hooked up and working?" she asks with a smile. A chuckle, "Goodness such eager mechs ready for action." she states, "Foundation first, then we can get the walls and ceiling put in on the building." she directs gently, "The defense grid will be dependent upon the energon this array collects, so putting it in place before the array is working would be pointless." then she states firmly, "Can we please focus on what we need to do and not get on other projects? Several sets of hands on one project will go quicker than one set of hands doing one section of the project. Unless someone has issues with this?" Hackjob nods. He assists in the putting up of the building, which is rather simple. Though the wall sections themselves are heavy, requiring him to share the load with at least one other mech. He first helps lock the foundation into place before assisting in erecting the walls. "No issues." Arclight responds, continuing to work on sketching out the perimeter and the points to put foundation reinforcements at. "I know all about foundation first, just comfort level on the defense stuff. I know how quick a lot of work can be taken apart. But then this isn't my usual assignment either. I know I'm along for heavy lifting and foundation work. Once I finish this, and getting the supports in place, I'll be more help with the walls." Smeltdown emits a revving noise similar to a chuckle. "Eager's a good thing! But yeah, like the gal says, gotta keep focused." Using his crane and winch makes lifting those wall sections a bit easier so they can be guided into place, and then he can hold them up while the others get them fastened down and steady. Saurius hooks a wall section to Smeltdowns crane, and walks along it as he guides it into place, making visible hand and arm signals as well as audible cues to the crane's movement. "Alright.. take it nice and slow. To the left.. good, now straight on." Making sure no Mech parts are in the way, "Alright, lower it down." Saurius helps Smeltdown lower another piece of wall into place, and works on bolting it in place, nice and steady. Murusa moves to assist with the foundation work, which was also prefabricated. It all interlinks together, a tongue in groove type set up so they have just a smidge bit of expansion and contraction room here in the cold of space. Once a section of foundation is complete, a mech or two can handle the wall section that Smeltdown is craning into place. They'll find the foundation has some rebar type projections that the walls will drop into, which will hold them up until they are fully secured in place. "I'll need one of you to be on the inside of the wall so bracing bars can be put in as we erect this building. I don't want it falling down on us." Hackjob nods and volunteers to be the mech in the middle. After all, it would not do for there to be any delay or accidents. "The Decepticons can't see this place from Cybertron, can they?" he wonders. Last thing they need is a Decepticon welcome wagon party. Arclight figures out the prefab quickly enough, checks everything's stability, and assembles it readily enough. "I think these two sections are secure and ready for walls. I'm moving onto the next region while you guys put the walls up. Give me a yell if you need me. As for defense - probably not yet. We shouldn't be in too much danger until we have energy hookup, where long range scans might start picking something up. If we do have trouble, head for the ship, I'll hold them off... but let's hope it doesn't come to that." Smeltdown hehs softly. "They don't have a reason to be lookin' this way to see us in the first place. No need to worry 'bout it unless it actually comes up eh?" He's rather enjoying this himself, being an old workhorse at heart. He's got the wall hoisted up and ready when the spot is prepared for it, letting the others do the job of actually getting it in place and locked down. "Thanks for the hand, Hacklight." Saurius nods, as it allows for him to fully lock the first wall in place as Smeltdown lowers it into place. -Click! WHIRRR- The sound of construction fills the area. After the initial locking, Saurius unhooks the crane from the hoist mechanism, allowing Smeltdown to pull the crane away from the first wall. Murusa smiles to that question, "Presuming they didn't scan us flying up here you mean?" she asks, then continues, "They probably would see it if they bother to use a satellite or ground scanners to check it out. That's why it has a defensive grid with a force field, to sense for any scans or intruders and protect itself if need be." she states, moving with Arclight to get the next two sections of foundation down. Two of them will make quicker work of it. Hackjob nods. "It's a good thing we thought of security measures then," he says, as he works. The foundation is easy enough. The slight amount of dust on the surface doesn't kick up very much as he moves. The combat engineer nods his thanks to Murusa for the help, Arclight not being built for a lot of speed. "Exactly why I'm always happier working once scanners are up, but structural first. The chances are kind of slim, but at the same time, if there was no chance, I probably wouldn't be here. I'm not exactly guard detail, but I can hold my own and maybe get defense systems cobbled together if I had to. So far, it’s all clear though. When we get three more sections done, with your permission, Murusa, I'm going to do another perimeter scan though." Smeltdown would nod if he was in a form able to do so. But he's not and doesn't. Seriously, it'd be weird for a vehicle to show expression like that even if it is really a living robot inside. "Yer not the only one that can fight, but we're all hopin' it just doesn't come to it." Heh. "Chatters nice to pass the time workin', but how 'bout a more pleasant subject eh?" "That makes three of us; I sure wouldn't want to run into any Cons up here. Changing subject, "Smeltdown, we are ready for another wall assembly. Do you need me to hook it up?" Saurius asks, out of good nature - not of an insult. Murusa understands the caution being voiced by Arclilght, assuring, "I assure you that the airport is scanning our location constantly. If there is any sign of a Con ship coming our way, then Omega Supreme will launch with some other guardians and deal with the threat." The final section of foundation in place now, she can focus on helping with getting the wall sections hooked into Smeltdown's crane hook as well as assuring they are placed correctly. "All right then, how about I buy you all around once we get back home? That pleasant enough?" a little smile teasing at her lips. Arclight pauses to glance over at Smeltdown. "Hey, no offense meant. I'm no warrior or sniper. Plenty of cons could take me apart. Command just doesn't send me to 'nice' construction projects. My specialty is combat repairs, sometimes before the combat has ended, so if I'm here, someone thinks there's at least a five percent chance this gets entertaining." He gets to the double checks, talking to Murusa in the process. "Sounds good to me." Smeltdown laughs heartily. "I approve of the new conversation!" He's in the process of getting the next wall section as it is, and chugs back over to start getting it into place. "Thanks for the offer, but I've got it up. You guys gotta guide it into place though, I don't wanna move too far and knock one down getting another in place," he chuckles a bit. In that sort of way of someone that's done that sort of thing ago. Probably a long time ago when he was still a rookie builder. Saurius laughs as well, a hand guiding the next wall portion into place, walking it along until it rests over the groove it's slotted to go into. Turning the wall and stabilizing it, he moves to one side of the wall and puts his hands on it. "Hardline, help guide this into place if you would, please. It's already in place and ready to lower" Murusa gets into place to help guide the section down. "Well consider this a nice construction project." she states to Arclight with a smile, then to Smeltdown, "Bit to your left," she states, checking to make sure it lines up, "A little more left. Perfect. Now lower it." Arclight grins at the femmebot. "Alright, I'll try and relax. It’s been a while." he replies, moving over to heft one of the sections of wall. He can get them up by himself, since he's meant to single-handedly move and lay spans capable of moving shock troops over, but the finesse isn't perfect. "I'll start stacking these where they're handy for you guys, unless someone wants to play spotter and guide for me?" he offers through mild strain to his voice. Smeltdown shifts as he's instructed by the others and lowers the section into place, then props it up so the others can work on getting it fastened down. "This is a lot smoother than trying to scan behind myself, that's for sure." It’s nice having a good old fashion construction project. Even better having a helpful crew doing it together. "Thanks Murusa" Saurius smiles at her, as they lower the second wall in place. Click! Saurius begins work by sliding the locks into place with the first wall, and bolting it down into place, securing it to the foundation on his side. Saurius moves to the side where Murusa is, and works on bolting that side down too, securing it both to the first wall and the foundation. "Yeah, it's been a while, I hear that Smeltdown." Murusa nods to Arclight, "No need to be tense, you are amongst fellow construction types." she states, "Could even do some rude, crude jokes if you all want. I'm used to it from my younger years in building construction." she states with a broad smile. "You can hook them in then Arclight since Saurius and I have the wall guidance taken care of and Hackjob is putting in the support struts on the inside of the building." No doubt she's the leader of this build. She does a quick tack weld on the corner where the two walls meet, which helps reinforce a couple of tongue and groove sections so the walls hook into each other right. "We'll weld in the corners fully once we have the walls fully up and structurally reinforced on the inside." Arclight starts moving sections of wall into crane reach, playing pure muscle for the group while they handle the fitting and layout. The offer of crude commentary gets a grin. "Ok, now /then/ I'd be right at home back listening to the grunts while I try and get their shield walls put back together before the next barrage. Some filthy vocals there." She seems to have secured the loyalty of the big combat engineer, anyway. Smeltdown laughs. "Fine, I can slaggin' start usin' slaggin' slag every slaggin' other word, slag it all to slag!" Laughs harder as he picks up the next wall section that's been conveniently placed by where it needs to go by Arclight. Certainly saves him the trouble of having to roll back and forth to get them. Hoists it up and starts moving it into place. "Here comes number three." Saurius stands up as the wall is moving - and nearly gets clocked in the head. "Hey!", Saurius shouts. "A Mech could really get hurt like that. Slow is steady, steady is fast." he cautions, as Saurius quickly backs away from the moving wall. Murusa chuckles a bit to that comment from Arclight, "I've heard it all and then some. Big reason I became a faithful follower of the teachings at the Temple of Primus was that someone had to pray for those construction mechs when they started in on the lustful commentary." standing at ready to help Smeltdown to position in the next wall with Saurius there to assist, "Of course I had to pray for myself too." a giggle at Smeltdown, "Oh you can do better than that." she teases, watching for the line up, "Forward a bit, to your right. Lower a bit." she waits a beat, "A fraction more right. Okay come on down." Arclight has to quickly steady himself before he busts something laughing at Murusa. "That so, huh? We may have to discuss that more over those drinks." he replies back amusedly. Steadying himself, and in a much lighter mood now that people are talking more like shock troops and front liners, he moves the next wall over to where it'll be in easy reach for the crane, having no problem acting as the muscle for the moment, now that the layout is done. As they work together longer, this seems to be getting smoother. Smeltdown chuckles a bit as the wall is guided down. "Only when I hurt myself," he replies to Murusa. Saurius goes to the other side of the wall that's being lowered, opposite of Murusa, and helps guide it down. "Little bit to the right.. Good, come on down." Saurius guides the wall into place, and locks it in with a click. He welds the two walls together in a few spots, and bolts his side down to the foundation. Murusa steps back a bit as the wall comes down, giving Saurius a curious glance. "Stand back, Saurius, trust me he won't hit you." she states matter of factly, then to Arclight. "That's so." she assures, helping get the third wall into place with Saurius's help then tack welding it into place just to reinforce it a bit. "Once you get that last wall hooked in Arclight, help Hackjob with the interior." Once the wall is down she tacks that into place. Arclight keeps up the grin, this is getting better by the moment. "Sure thing, boss." he agrees, getting the last of the walls into reach, then moving to the interior, switching out his hand module for the heavy welder he's named for, and the other for an industrial bolter. Smeltdown fetches the last wall piece and hosts it up, waiting for Arc to walk inside and the others to get clear before moving into position with it. "You're lucky this is the wall with the door, Arclight, hehe... Murusa, Saurius, grab the sides and guide it would you? Got to get it between the other two ends evenly." Saurius responds, "Yep, sure thing. We'll get it built." Moving to the outside of the building, Saurius starts to slowly guide the last piece into place. "Alright, take it nice and slow. Don't wanna wreck these other walls." The last wall starts to slowly move downward as Saurius and Murusa guide it. Luckily the interior reinforcements were partially prefabricated as well so they can be just welded together. This includes a buttress support for the walls and ceiling, which will go in last once all the interior is done. She directs Smeltdown into the last section of wall very carefully, "Okay, easy now, slowly. To your left a bit more, down some more. Left a bit more." As the wall slides into the rebar she says, "Toward us just a bit. Lower it fully. Toward us a smidge more. Hold it there." Hackjob acts as a spotter, ready to put his weight into a wall if it starts leaning the wrong way. As it is he just helps guide them in. Once that last wall is in, it's time to put the ceiling up. Wouldn't it be nice to have a crane? Arclight works on the welding work, assessing the walls and structure elements as he goes to make sure everything has proper support. "Hey Murusa, are the ceiling sections assembled the same way? If so, I might be able to make someone's life a lot easier, if anyone has some bot-mechanics skills. If it’s more complex, probably best to just crane it in... and yeah... definitely glad we're getting the doors in. More glad it’s my size. I had a project not long ago for fixing up a minibot sniper station. At my size, that was a nightmare, believe me." "That had to be a tight fit." Smeltdown adjusts a bit here and there as he's guided, setting the section down into the slot with little trouble thanks to the guidance. Lets the others start getting it locked in, then unhooks and pulls away a bit. Then pauses before transforming. "Actually, that's a good question if I need to crane the roof on or not." Murusa states to Arclight, "We'll assemble it on the ground if Smeltdown thinks he can handle the single joined piece at once. Otherwise, we'll just do it like the walls. First though the interior needs to be put in, so that means pick up a section, walk it in, weld it into place. I made sure the doors would be big enough for passage of a good sized mech handling a chuck of the interior structure," she states. It would be evident by now that the femme probably had direct influence over the layout of this building when it was being prefabricated. And it's a good thing they brought a crane! Hackjob assists in piecing the roof together before it is taken up and lowered onto the wall structure. He makes sure every seam is tight and each part is locked together so they don't get a roof collapse. Arclight nods. "He probably could. Or if someone can help fix the bridge assembly, with a spotter, I could adapt the bridge layer and put on four sections at a time. Either way is fine. Place is really coming together though." he adds, glancing at the next project. "Want me on carrying the supports or the welding?" he asks, waiting for instructions from the project leader. Smeltdown rolls a bit to shift position and get a better look at the structure. "I dunno. It's not the weight that worries me, but the height. The whole thing might be a bit for me to lift that far up." Murusa steps into the interior with a good load on interior structure. "Yes please help me with that." she tells Arclight, "Hackjob has the ceiling covered." Saurius pitches in by starting up the welding of the interior support to the walls. To Smeltdown, "Then tell Hackjob when to cut off so he doesn't overdo your payload." Hackjob finishes piecing the roof together, then gives the thumbs-up. Next he goes inside the structure, to assist in welding it into place when it's correctly positioned. Arclight nods to Murusa's assessment. "As you like." he agrees, moving the heavy supports into place once he switches out his welder and bolter hands for normal hand units again. "Let me know if you want help with the roof out there. I have an idea if anything doesn't work, but otherwise, this suits me fine." he calls, continuing on the carry and position grunt work. Smeltdown shifts back to robot mode, walking over to give the roof section a closer inspection now that it's assembled. He walks around one side of it, then the other, rubbing his chin a bit in thought as calculations run through his head. Idly picks up an edge and lifts it a bit, just to test the weight, and sets it back down gentle. "Alright. Weight's not a problem. But it's gonna be a bit awkward due to width. I can lift it up there, but there's got to be someone up there to guide it into place once I do get it up." Smeltdown transforms from Halftrack Transport to Robot Mode. Murusa uses her inbuilt welder, which is inside her forearm typically, but flips out when needed. Between her and the mechs inside the interior is put in quickly and efficiently. "Go help Smeltdown with the roof then, Arclight." she tells him. Hackjob goes around to make sure the roof is put on securely, and checks all the seams and welds any that haven't been done yet. Arclight heads back out, transforming into heavy bridge layer mode. He shifts into motion, setting out the bridge sections he's loaded with, just to get them off of the array. "Ok, set the ceiling structures in there, whoever can lift it up. I'll need someone to guide it down, but this is meant to set down tank division bridges, so weight shouldn't be an issue, just make sure you put it on even, and someone can help make sure its aligned right." Smeltdown looks up from getting the roof section ready and nods. "Now that's a good idea! I can lift it up, you help brace it, and someone can climb up there to make sure it gets into place. That's the creative thinking that's good to see." He transforms back into vehicle mode as well after hooking his rig up, and lifts the roof piece up to rest on Arclight's laying array. Murusa moves into place to help with the roof guidance by standing on a makeshift pile of left over bracing. "I'm in place, lower it on in." Hackjob gets into position opposite Murusa, so that he can spot for gaps when the roof comes down and help adjust for sideways variance. So far so good. Arclight braces the array, handling the majority of the weight so it can be adjusted and fitted as needed. "They got a good crew of this." he agrees with the other's assessment, slowly lowering the array to bring the bridge down, following Smeltdown and Murusa's instructions. Smeltdown finesses a little here and there, but for the most part it goes smoothly thanks to teamwork! "There, I think we've got it. How's it look from up there?" Saurius is inside, standing at ready to tack in on one side. Murusa is doing likewise as she calls in the instructions, "Right, forward, right a bit more." waiting a bit, "Bit more forward, lower it some more." another beat, "Fully down slowly." Hackjob inspects his corner. After the adjustments suggested by Saurius, he nods and gives the thumbs-up as the roof is lowered. There's a mechanical whirring and grinding noise as the heavy bridge laying array comes down, lowering the assembly on Murusa's mark, in time with the crane. "Coming down, you still good, Smeltdown?" Smeltdown shifts, shifts a bit more, and lowers the last bit as he's instructed, letting out a little sputter like sigh when he finally feels the weight strain let up from settling down on top of the frame. "That should do it!" For the sake of brevity, the crew gets the building fully built, the solar arrays are placed on the roof and wired down into the interior of the building. The defensive grid is put inside and wired up. The tanks are put in, plumbing put in so the array feeds the energon it gathers into them for holding. A control system to feed the defensive grid, the force field, the turrets, and the arrays themselves are installed. The turrets are put into place and wired in. It takes some hours, but the crew gets it down and tests are preformed to make everything is working all right. Murusa smiles to the group. "I do believe we can head back home all." Arclight hops down from the rooftop after finishing testing the defense arrays to make sure everything responds properly. "Sounds good. That went amazingly smoothly. That alone is worth celebrating." Hackjob nods. "Yeah, after all this work I need to relax," he says, "Good job, all." Smeltdown dusts his hands off. "Yep, that was a job well done. Good work guys, she looks like a beut and ready to roll." Hackjob walks back to the ship, climbing inside and starting it up. The engines start to warm up and roar to life. He buckles in. "Home, James," he says. Murusa smiles and heads on into the rocket with the crew in tow. "Let's head home Hackjob." Arclight settles back into the ship, mostly powering down for the ride home once he's buckled in. Smeltdown straps back down in his seat. "I just wish every project could go that smoothly." Murusa buckles in and says, "Ready." Hackjob gets the throttle going and the rocket once again lifts off. The trip isn't a particularly long one, but it's long enough to relax somewhat before they touch down again, near Crystal City. Arclight is powered down, not responding to anyone much while he gets some rest while he can. Flights are good for that, now that the work is done. Just in case something does come up important, or for when they return, he does keep some basic sensors active, letting him get active again by the time they set down. Smeltdown sits back in his chair and folds his hands behind his head. "Everything went well. Hopefully we won't have to come back sooner than expected to have to fix something." As the rocket comes down, Murusa radios they are coming in so the force field is lowered. Once they land, the force field is back up and they can all disembark, "So who's up for that round eh? I'm buying til your under the tables." she laughs. Yeah it was a quick trip! Airport Arclight follows the femmebot off the rocket and to the ground. "I'm up for it. You still got me curious about all these sins you're atoning for." he replies with a hint of amusement. "I think I can hold your weight in drinks though, so best you not be putting too much on the line."
