Nëya was one of the two elven caretakers who danced on the third night of the Agaetí Blödhren. She, with her twin sister, Iduna, healed Eragon of his scar and altered his appearance. She and Iduna were tattooed with a dragon across their backs, with rainbow scales, that came to life through magic. Nëya reappeared alongside Iduna in Inheritance, where they once again danced so Eragon was able to contact their dragon tattoo, in order to change the Riders Pact.
