Large, usually wooden, containers that you can walk into. They're used to store the most uninteresting things, depending on the person's nostril cavity. Barns are the key object used in barn burning. They have also been proven to act as hide outs for bird throwing. In very rare cases, barns will disguise R2-D2s as sheep, cows, horses, and dogs that heard cows and horses (but not sheep).

  • The barn is a figure that can be played instead of a follower on a player's turn. When a player places a tile with a field such that is touches three other fields at a corner, he may place a barn on that corner. He/she may do this even if there are already farmers in that farm, but not if there is already a barn. Any farmers on that farm are instantly returned to their players and the player with most farmers gets 3 points for each connected city. Further farmers may not be placed on that farm. but should a farmers later connect to the barn, it is returned to its owner who gains 1 point for each connected city. At the end of the game, the player with most barns in each field gets 4 point for each connected city.

  • The barn comes fully equipped with a ranch hand, a special NPC who offers special services for you and your beasts. The ranch hand offers to store up to forty beasts in the barn, removing them from the owner's Datapad. Mounts can't be stored in the Barn. Speak to the ranch hand and choose Store Beast. A new window opens, showing all of the beasts in your datapad that can be stored. Select the beast in the list you would like stored in the barn and removed from your datapad. You can put others on admin but they cannot store pets there.

  • The barn is where most goods/products are stored including crops, animal produce, factory products, building and expansion materials, and ingots. You can sell your products from the barn or see what they are worth. For a complete list of goods in Township see the Goods page. The barn's appearance will change and grow bigger as it gains more storage from upgrades.Storage Tips Running out of space in your barn? Here are some tips to help ease the space issue until the next upgrade: * Leave animal produce in farm buildings. For example you can leave pigs ready with bacon until you need them to load a train cart, so you can collect the bacon and put it straight into the cart. It's better than having bacon sitting in your barn taking up space. * Use of Factory shelves for extra storage. Each factory can have up to 8 shelves when upgraded which you can use for storage. You can make the items for an order, and leave them sitting on the shelves until it's time to send the order out.Using Fields as Storage Using fields as crop storage. As you gain more population and get more fields you'll want to eventually make a plan to leave certain crops sitting on the fields to save barn space. Below is some rough amounts of crops you can leave on your fields to save storage space in the barn. * In general keep about 8 silk, rubber trees, and cacao, 8-10 potatoes, and pine trees, 10 jasmine, roses, tomatoes and strawberries, on the fields at all times. * The remaining fields can have crops that grow faster when you're online like 10 wheat, 5-10 corn, and 5-10 carrots. * It's better not to keep sugarcane or cotton on fields unless a plane or train needs them because the market usually has plenty. * Overnight you won't need those quickly grown crops, so it's best to replace them with about 10 peppers, and 10 rice at least. If you don't have that many fields to hold the crops above, or haven't unlocked certain crops you can find a balance by keeping fields with about 70-80% slow growing crops and 20-30% quickly grown crops. Overnight you can sell off all the quickly grown crops and have 100% slow growing crops from most time to the least. This way there's less chance you'll get stuck in the mornings/day waiting to produce longer growing crops for a plane or train order. Leaving crops that are ready to be harvested on the fields can save you a good amount of space in the barn.Using the City Market as a Storage/Barn If you use the free cash or cash purchased to increase the amount of market boxes in the market, you can essentially use it as an extra barn with infinite storage. The only limitations are buying more market boxes costs 25 Tcash each, and making sure you have enough coins to buy what you need from the market. If you buy enough market boxes you can almost bypass the need to have factories, farm buildings, or even a barn! For example with 200 market boxes you'll be getting 200 random items every 6 hours when the market refreshes. With that many items you probably wont even need any fields to grow crops! There will likely be bunches and bunches of every crop available at your current level in the market (if you do eventually invest in many many market boxes!)Upgrading the Barn The barn can be upgraded regardless of your level as long as you have completed the tools needed to upgrade the barn capacity.

Speak to the trusty ranch hand and let him know that you'd like to have some of your beasts roam around the large room. Select the beast from the window that displays. You can also choose to store your beasts again later in the same window.
