- Taggart (Tehg, literally meaning "Dark") is the spirit guardian of Damion Battosai's first Descension, Dark Damion. He is never mentioned or has appeared in the series, but will be included in a short story, detailing Damion's training for this form.
- Taggart is a location in The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct.
- Taggart is the Chima Star in Suikoden.
- Actors appearing on Taggart episodes over the years include Dave Anderson, Isla Blair, Billy Boyd, Ewen Bremner, Robert Carlyle, Linda (Muchan) Carmichael, Ian Colquhoun, Annette Crosbie, Alan Cumming, Henry Ian Cusick, Barbara Dickson, Michelle Gomez, Jill Gascoine, Hannah Gordon, Clare Grogan, John Hannah, Morag Hepburn, Celia Imrie, Jason Isaacs, Ashley Jensen, Diane Keen, John McGlynn (in 5 episodes, each as a different character), Ann Mitchell, Andrew-Lee Potts, Peter Mullan, Amanda Redman, Dougray Scott and Ken Stott.
- The show began in 1973 and is another quality show from ITV presents the viewer with a rose tinted view of Glasgow; the show focuses on "a Murrder". It has been likened to comedy live meet the Daily Mail but this may simply apply to all ITV rather than this poor Scottish show. The entire population takes part with First Minister Alex Salmond currently being the latest Taggart as the last one died of Cholesterol; indicative of the robust wegie diet of deep fried mars bars.
- A long-running British detective series, running from 1983 to 2011 (ITV have withdrawn their funding and until/unless STV can get a replacement backer, we have to call this show cancelled) Set in Glasgow, Scotland, it has a very bad case of Never One Murder. The series was named after its main character, Jim Taggart, who is no longer in the series due to the death of Mark McManus, who portrayed him. Rather surprisingly, the show has carried on longer without him than it did when he was alive. Not to be confused with Dagny or James Taggart.
