It seems that article creation is the most common reason for which points are awarded. This leads me to wonder whether creating a new article should always earn 15 points, as has become the de facto standard, or whether the number of points given should depend on the article's length. And should Prefects be allowed to decide the number of points on their own, or should there be a set standard, like 5 points for a two-line stub, 10 points for an article that's got a couple of paragraphs, and 30 points for an article with several lengthly sections? Also, for those who might be unaware, you can monitor recently-created articles at Special:NewPages. ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 11:24, 1 May 2009 (UTC) I think that it would be a great idea to have a set standard for points. I also agree with the number of points given should depend on the article's length. --- Madam HoochFile:250px-Hogwarts coa.jpg(Which Broomstick) I think the number of points given should depend on the article length. I don't know if we should have a strict standard for exactly how many points should be given for exactly x number of paragraphs, but guidelines of some sort would be a good thing to have. Oread (talk) 15:43, 1 May 2009 (UTC) The greatness of the triumph, or the severity of the crime should have some bearing on the amount of points awarded or confiscated. Jayce Carver File:Slytherin Prefect badge.jpg Talk 16:02, 1 May 2009 (UTC) I've added some general guidelines to the "How are points determined?" section of the policy page. Feel free to bring up any ideas or concerns you may have regarding them. ★ Starstuff (Owl me!) 13:52, 9 May 2009 (UTC) I would like it if the "term" started soon. Maybe, if you could, start in April? Or maybe even March? The game interests me and I am new to the wiki. Put a post to counter or agree to this post after this one. Exsiiron 18:12, March 3, 2010 (UTC)
